In Belarus the opposition considered “Venezuelan diary”, “AURORA BOREALIS” prototype, as invited one and baptized it “Ode for Chavez”.
In fact, the Preface is followed by journalist`s Lilia Velichko poems having evidently revolutionary content.
They contrast with Juan Guillermo Parra`s (JGPW), by no means new, critical appearance addressed to the President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez, but the popular poet, translator, editor and the USA citizen JGPW recognized by these Byelorussian literati as “guiding star of Venezuelan poetry and staunch accuser of chavismo”, evaluated some Bolivarian socialism sticklers`creative writing rather high.
The poetic translation, the critical essay “Image of South” by Luis Alberto Crespo (LAC), the article about Carora Singer by Gonzalo Ramirez and the interview for Jorge Rodriguez`s “Latitud America” program (JR now is Venezuelan vice-president) does introduce the best modern poet (LAC) to Russian speaking readers.
The USA citizen, gnostic, astrologer, poet and prose writer Donald Francis Grabau (DFG), a year ago took the trouble to cast and comment “Hugo Chavez`s Native Chart” (DFG affirms “it`s OK”) and contributed so much to the Byelorussian project birth writing his books and political articles. The collection contains, besides “Native Chart”, DFG`s early poems translation in Russian.
Olga Ravchenko, developing the themes started in DFG`s piece translation in the form a bit unwonted to Russian readers, in particular, invites:
Con-
centrate your attention upon
world heated points,
come into con-
tact with
boiling,
breakup,
division,
colic pain!
Tatiana Dorosko`s creation doesn`t interface with politics, but it`s declared including the poems in Byelorussian.
Emma Pribylskaya`s vers amplitude is “Kalevala - PopolVukh”.
The prose is represented with three stories and a novel by Yaroslav Isachiov entitled in form rousing the interest: “Tequila”, “Comandante”, “Exploring”, “Publican”, by the way, minded for the national consumer.
Edward Medviedsky, International PenClub member, concludes in the Epilogue that the occurring collective act would be well baptized as shamanism, so he builds a bridge between “Aurora Borealis” and “Image of South”.
Tiwy.com placing kindly “AURORA BOREALIS” in its pages, affirms that the President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez NEVER declared himself as poet. Nevertheless in the Byelorussian project Emma Pribylskaya represents in Russian the liberal translation of “A Thorny Tree”, Hugo Chavez`s reply to Condalise Rice, which at the least twice gleamed in the foreign mass media. Nobody else, but the President of Venezuela provoked the same project: being himself the very existing fact and being in love with Image and Word.
