CIA Faces Purges as Situation Remains Tense in Ukraine
CIA officers have committed more suicides than ever in recent years. It’s hard to adduce exact figures – the information is classified. According to the evidently sexed up statistics, the suicide annual rate in the military is 250-400. In comparison the alleged CIA rate is 30-50.

They try to avoid publicity in case suicides are committed by operatives working under cover. But it’s hard to conceal anything when it happens with high-placed officials. According to the «Washington Times», a senior CIA official died in an apparent suicide in early April from injuries sustained after jumping off a building in Northern Virginia. CIA spokesman Christopher White confirmed the death and said the incident did not take place at CIA headquarters in McLean, Va. «We can confirm that there was an individual fatally injured at a facility where agency work is done», White told the Washington Free Beacon. «He was rushed to a local area hospital where he subsequently died. Due to privacy reasons and out of respect for the family, we are not releasing additional information at this time.» The name of the deceased was mentioned at first to respect privacy of the family members. No exact location of the accident has been disclosed. Time went by to alleviate post-traumatic stress of the victim’s next of kin, but still no additional information about the dead person and the reasons for suicide has leaked into press.

What has really happened? Why should a high-positioned official do such a thing? Was it really a suicide?

US and Canadian bloggers offer different interpretations, some of them worth mentioning. One of the reasons could be the decision by Senate Intelligence Committee to publish a report on brutal methods of interrogation practiced by the Central Intelligence Agency, as well as the special services of Romania, Poland, Lithuania and other countries. The multi-page paper adduces hundreds of cases when people suspected of involvement into terrorist activities were silently detained, taken to secret CIA jails and tortured to make them reveal the needed information.

The mass tortures have made many CIA operatives get promotions, decorations and material benefits for working under extremely tough conditions. They believed that the records of their «heroic deeds» were to be forever buried in the CIA archives. But there are more cases when the names of perpetrators carrying out criminal orders come into the open, videos with horrendous pictures of tortures become available to public and studied by experts to be sooner or later used as evidence during trial procedures launched by innocent victims.

One of the versions says the suicide victim wanted to escape like Edward Snowden did. He could not forgive the system for including his name in the long list of those who was involved in establishing and operating secret prisons in Eastern Europe. He had a lot to tell being a member of John Brennan’s inner circle even before the latter’s appointment as CIA director. The self-murderer was involved in planning and operations during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Bloggers say he specialized on Eastern Europe. His recent activities had been mainly centered on Ukraine. He had close contacts with the Defense Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Agency. His activities were related to the clandestine plans aimed at dragging Ukraine out of Russia’s influence. He knew the names of CIA operatives acting under cover including top junta officials. Having escaped, he could have used the information to his advantage. One of the bloggers conjectured that the dead CIA official wanted to explode «a new bomb» by publishing a scoop with new revelations about criminal activities of US special services but his intention became known… Then the Central Intelligence Agency’s brass decided that the best way out was to have it over and done with by making him commit a suicide. In this case nobody would investigate the case leaving remain secret the crime motives and the names of perpetrators. The government and the CIA know how to best conceal the links – they always eliminate those who did it. Suicide has become a frequent occurrence among military and mercenaries. Having returned home, many of them tried to disclose the crimes committed by their compatriots against prisoners of war and civilians. Some decided to put an end to life as a result of depression. But the real cause of their deaths was one – they were zapped by CIA internal security agents.

John Brennan, the CIA director, is the top official to issue the physical liquidation orders. With great fervor he hinders any attempts to disclose the activities of Saudi Arabia’ intelligence and its involvement into the 9/11 attack against the twin towers. Brennan had had intensive contacts with Saudis before the tragic event. He is worried by the attempts to rake over the past. In February 2013 conspiracy author Phillip Marshall, a former airplane pilot and renown author, was found dead along with his two children in their home in California. His works were mainly devoted to «dark points» of US modern history. In «The Big Bamboozle: 9/11 and the War on Terror«, a 2012 publication, he theorized it wasn’t al-Qaida but rather U.S. and Saudi government officials who orchestrated 9/11. The book mentioned John Brennan among other personalities involved in the towers’ explosion mystery. The Marshall’s children and the family dog were also killed. The journalist’s estranged wife and mother of the 2 kids was traveling abroad at the time of the shootings.

Michael Mahon Hastings, a well-known Rolling Stone journalist, reportedly died in a fiery high-speed automobile crash on June 18, 2013, in Los Angeles, California. He had been collecting revelatory information on John Brennan and complained about being pursued and harassed by the Central Intelligence Agency and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Michael openly expressed his fears of becoming a target of assassination. The accident confirmed his apprehensions. Allegedly there were three explosions inside the car. But no thorough investigation was conducted. His body was cremated against his family's wishes destroying potential evidence that could have contradicted the explanation that he died as a result of an accident.

The John Brennan’s recent visit to Ukraine was partly destined to calm down the fears of his subordinates operating in Kiev. He had to convince them there have been no information leaks to cause scandalous disclosures and damage the United States-Ukraine security cooperation. The Central Intelligence Agency, The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Drug Enforcement Agency will continue their consulting activities and other efforts aimed at «stabilization» in the country. More US advisers will be sent to Ukraine to assist the security structures and tackle the problems related to instability in the south-eastern part of the country. It is presupposed that the advisers will step in instead of Ukrainian military commanders and lead the operations conducted at the forward edge of fighting against the «separatists».

Wherever he went during the Kiev visit, Brennan always finished his speeches with the words that «the Ukrainians have a right to sort out their own affairs without interference.» To believe him, that is the goal of the United States.
