The most western city in Russia has significantly Europeanized in recent years. From here it is much easier to get to Warsaw, Berlin and Paris, than to Moscow. The younger generation of Kaliningradians in their choice of life perspective focuses more on the West than on the East. And this is understandable - air and train fare for the "eastern direction" is often beyond means, although they solemnly swear from Moscow, that prices will be to the uttermost favorable. If this continues in such a way, then after 20 years, residents of Kaliningrad will forget how to speak Russian.
