Russian and foreign journalists attended the opening ceremony of the Hugo Chavez street armed at all points – TV and photo cameras, microphones.

Now in Moscow there is a place, where you can deal with a fiery revolutionary Hugo Chavez. Many times he used to come to the Russian capital, and “never, according to the current President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, felt a stranger there”.

Russian and Venezuelan participants in the ceremony with a poster “¡Chávez te lo juro Russia está con Maduro! – Chavez, I swear to you, Russia is for Maduro!”

In the center is a well-known Venezuelan journalist, presenter of the author’s program “Dossier” Walter Martínez.

President Nicolas Maduro could not but to take part in the opening of the Moscow street named after his friend and ally Hugo Chavez. To the left of Maduro is Igor Sechin and the Venezuelan Foreign Minister Elías Jaua, as well as Sergey Cheremin, Chief of the International Relations Department of the Moscow government. To the right from Maduro is his wife, Cilia Flores.

The main participants in the ceremony walk along the Chavez street. Behind Cilia Flores is Alla Zen'kovich that has repeatedly worked with Hugo Chavez as an interpreter.

President Nicolas Maduro opens the ceremony. Those gathered are chanting: “¡Maduro sigue - Chávez vive!” And “Hurray hurray! Chavez and Moscow!” Igor Sechin said of Chavez by the verses from Mayakovsky's poem – “Blood, not water, flows through our veins. Marching through a storm of bullets, we try to ensure that one day we’ll be born again in steamships, in words – in things that never die!”

From now on and forever will Moscow have the street named after the revolutionary Hugo Chavez.

Comfortable, shaded, with its reflection on the fate of the world and humanity, the street named after Hugo Chavez.

Hugo Chavez loved Moscow and hospitable Muscovites. Now, he is always with us.

Flowers will be brought here. The President Hugo Chavez has a lot of friends and associates in Russia.

Among the flowers is a portrait of the Liberator of South America from Spanish colonial yoke – Simon Bolivar. His ideas have formed the basis of Chavez ideology.

Close to Chavez street is the Petroff Palace, a monument of the 18th century neo-Gothic architecture.

Activities of Hugo Chavez memory continued in the Hermitage Garden in building of the New Opera.
