Cult of personality of Carlos Gardel

Carlos Gardel Monument (Caracas, Venezuela)
70 years ago Carlos Gardel died in an air crash in Colombia. It was a long time ago, but the Latin America mass media write about this tragedy as if it has just happened. These days you can hear more than ever the voice of the favourite singer and music of tango. It is true, the Latin Americans are fond of their “nightingale” and it can be understood by the speed of distribution of his CDs with the recordings of 20-30-ies of the last century.

Gardel has never lost his rating of the most popular singer and without any doubt, will never loose. More and more new generations of tango fans join the unofficial “gardeli” club to the envy of modern commercial singers trying to solve the “mystery” of Gardel who used to sing with a live, not “prerecorded” voice but with his soul, heart – about ordinary human feelings, dreams, misfortunes and aspirations.

Cult of personality of Carlos Gardel – is probably the most wonderful cult of all ever existing ones. The editorial staff of Tiwy.com belong to the devoted admirers of Carlos Gardel, Carlito – as his friends (often distant ones) used to call him throughout the world, and therefore think it useless to argue who this Great Singer was by birth – French, Argentinian or Uruguayan. Nowadays it really does not matter as Gardel is a singer of all mankind.
