Massive action of Hugo Chavez followers has become a final chord of his election campaign in the center of Caracas. They came to the capital of Venezuela from all corners of the country. Hundreds of thousands of people (according to certain forecasts, not less than a million and a half). Mass media called this manifestation a «red tide», as red «chavist» shirts and berets, many of which bearing the logo «10 million votes», have become a distinctive feature of its participants. It was that goal that Chavez put forward to his election campaign – to get a landslide victory so that nobody could ever doubt it.

Hugo Chavez in the course of his re-election campaign for the next six-year period, has demonstrated higher activity and dynamism than his rival Manuel Rosales, representative of the opposition. Every action of his opponent was returned by Chavez by two or three ones, the massive nature of which, caused no doubts. But the most important is that the bolivarian leader has something to demonstrate: starting from a magnificent bridge over the full-flowing Orinico river, «premier» inauguration of subway lines in Valencia and Maracaibo and dozens of new industrial enterprises to successful, so called «social missions» (social projects), that ensure qualitative progress of Venezuela in such vital spheres as health service, education and construction of residences for population with scanty income.

The pre-election polls of the electorate forecast the undoubted victory of Chavez with 20 to 30% advantage
