Stroll around Fenghuang
October 2011
Fenghuang (凤凰 - Fènghuáng) in Chinese means Phoenix. One day, two Phoenix birds, having flown in this region,
circled over the city for a long time, not wanting to depart from such a beautiful place. The townspeople in honor of this event immediately decided to rename their town.
In Russia, Fenghuang would have been called "the city of the Firebird, in the province to the south of the lake."
